What is your mission?
Whatever business you are in – network marketing, direct sales, affiliate marketing, your own coaching or even a regular store in a city you need people to buy from you if you want to stay in business.
But what is your objective? Why are you in the business you are in?
Are the only reason you are there to make money then you need to reconsider your choice.
In my opinion you should be in the business you are in because you love the products, you love the effect they have on people and what they can help people with.
If you are in network marketing and want to recruit people you need to know that your company is solid and fair so you don’t recruit anyone to something that doesn’t work.
Your main goal should always be to help other people.
So my steps for success
Love what you do
It’s hard to succeed if you aren’t loving what you do. Do you love your products and your company? Do you love your upline and have the support you need?
If you are truly going to be successful, you should look over your opportunity. There are a lot of opportunities out there and maybe there is a better fit for you?
You should be passionate about what you are doing. It shines through when you talk about it.
Your goal should always be to help people with their problems or dreams
When you are talking to people find out what they need, in a conversation you should listen 80% and talk 20%. Learn what they need, what problems, desires and dreams they have and give them a solution. If your product or opportunity can’t help them with anything they tell you then don’t bring it up. Maybe you know someone else that can help them instead with their current problem? Always focus on helping and it’ll get back to you.
Get people to know, like and trust you
When you are focusing on them and helping them with their problems even if your solution only was to send them to a person you thought could help you’ll get them to like and trust you. People who like and trust you are more likely to buy from you in the future. If you are offering the exact same thing as I am a person who knows you and needs what we are offering will more likely buy from you, he might not even listen to me. And if a person doesn’t join today they might join in a couple of months when the time is right for them so keep giving them what they need all the time.
Always lead with value, don’t try to convince anyone that your product or opportunity is the absolute best there is – it might not be a fit for them, I know there are plenty of great Network Marketing Opportunities out there but I don’t want to sell makeup… so I get annoyed when people are bugging me about that. But if you are teaching me something and giving me value I might buy from you if I need a new mascara…
Always, Always give people what they are looking for!
Have multiple streams of income
This is a question that divides people. Some say you should focus on one thing. But I don’t think it is that simple. I think you need more than one thing because you don’t control your network marketing company and you don’t control the laws of the country. Something can change and then you’ll be left stranded.
You shouldn’t start with to much at once though. You need to master what you are doing! Always learn and grow and add new things when it’s time.
Pick things that aren’t competing – you can’t be in two health businesses for example and pick things that aren’t opposite each other. You need to stand behind what you do – don’t sell vegan food and steaks – then you’ll loose the trust from at least the vegans and probably some meat-eaters as well 😉
