Are you procrastinating?
Do you know what to do but aren’t ever getting started?
I know how you feel, sometimes I have had troubles taking action with things I learned that I know will help me in my business or for that matter in my personal life.
We are all afraid of putting ourselves out there but that’s what we have to do to grow. Things should feel a bit uncomfortable.
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”
– Dale Carnegie
Here are some tips for you to start and take action and grow your business:
- Don’t wait for the perfect conditions.
Don’t wait for the time to be right or for someone else to do something. Don’t wait until you can do it perfectly. Everything will never be perfect. The sooner you take action is better. You’ll learn and grow during the time and you’ll make money!
- Think Positive
This is so important for everything. If you think you’ll fail you probably do. If you think positive about everything in your life you’ll be so much more happy and relaxed and will succeed more often, you’ll also get a lot more done! AND the people around you will also become more positive.
- Boost your self-confidence
If you are lacking self-confidence the risk are much bigger that you stay in your comfort zone and don’t have the courage to do what it takes. Believe in yourself and if you should fail, know that failure is what helps us grow, learn from your mistake and try again. There are a lot of ways to do this and a lot of trainings out there. It is not easy but you need to love yourself and know you are unique and have unique abilities that no one else has. You CAN make a difference if you just don’t give up.
- Focus on One thing
I am personally guilty of not following this advice although I am trying. Focus on one thing at the time AND focus on one strategy at the time, don’t multitask and if you are learning something new focus on that until you master it before you try to master something else. I absolutely know that is the best way but I still have three different things I’m trying to master at once right now. Working on giving up the multitasking though…
- Celebrate your accomplishments
Celebrate your small winnings, your first sale, your 10:th sale, that you finished a course and even celebrate something ahead of time sometimes. The only thing that happens if you are celebrating something and it then doesn’t come true is that you have been celebrating for nothing and when is it ever bad to celebrate and be happy? You can also set up small prizes for yourself. “When I reach goal A I can go get a massage” or something like that. Use our imagination. This will motivate you both before and after!
- Get rid of the Distractions
When you are working turn of your phone if possible. Turn of the Facebook Tab, don’t check your e-mail in the middle of everything. If you have decided upon a task to do decide that you will do it without any distractions for X amount of time and during that time just focus. You’ll see how much more you’ll get done! Things that usually takes forever are done in a flash.
Stay committed to your goals and dreams and take consistent daily action.
Don’t ask for permission.
Don’t wait for someone to say: “You can do it”
Don’t seek approval. Don’t fear criticism or be too timid.
Every single leader has made mistakes and faced uncertainty along the way. That just doesn’t happen to be the story you hear.
If you want things you’ve never had you’ve got to do things you’ve never done!
