When you start in Network Marketing you probably think that this will be easy. Everyone need your product and everyone will see the same thing you see.

Quickly you will get discouraged. Working through your warm market (friends and family) and signing up maybe one or two. 

Then you need to turn to people you don't know and that can be very difficult. Where do you find them? How do you work up the courage to go talk to them? How do you get them interested? 

You need a strategy and that strategy needs to be in align with who you are and what you want.

This is in my opinion the most difficult way of them all. I start with this because this is old-school Network Marketing and how it's mostly teached. 

You go out in malls and coffee-shops and approach total strangers hoping that you'll meet someone that might be interested to listen to you. 

Some people are excellent at this but it is a skill and it's very hard to learn. Most people will never learn it and that's why many people fail in Network Marketing. 

When using this approach you need to be very good at talking to strangers and to listen to them and see what they need. You need to feel comfortable in approaching them and have small-talk and conversation skills beyond normal people.

I applaud people who can do this but I believe it is the strategy that is hardest to duplicate and also hardest to follow up with the leads.

How these people meet enough other people to become successful is beyond me but it can absolutely be done! There are tons of people doing it.

    Social Media Cold Market Prospecting 

Easier than "real world" prospecting, you can reach a lot more people and you can do it from the comfort of your own home. You still need to reach out to people but if you do it the right way you can be very successful. 

Create curiosity and have them come to you! Share what you do and how it has changed your life.

IMPORTANT! Do not post about your products all the time, don't send links to people the first you do when they become your friends. You can be shut down as a spammer if you are trying that.

The key is to use the platform as it is intended. For most platforms that is to be social and share experiences and thoughts.

This is a more hands-off and scalable method of online marketing then Social Media Prospecting.

You brand yourself as an authority and focus on helping people solve there problems in your area. 

Give them a lot of value with everything you do and people will learn to like and trust you.

When people do that they will start to reach out to you and want to know more about what you do and how you can help them.

This method enables you to find people all over the world if you want to and you will never have to talk to people that aren't interested ever again. Your prospects will qualify themselves before you talk to them.

How to talk to your prospect for best results

However you found your prospect you need to learn how to talk to them. Mindset is very important! Never go into any conversation with the mindset that you need to sell to this person or recruit her.....

You are there to help the person with her problems or give them a way to reach their dreams. The entire conversation is about them.
You have nothing to do with it. Is what you are selling something that truly can benefit them?
