Do You Want To Get More Done In Less Time?

By Karin Wälivaara | Mindset

Do you want time-freedom in your life?

But are feeling that the business that was supposed to give you that take up all your time?

I will show you some tips for getting your productivity in your business as high as possible.

AND get more done in less time and give you some insight to some problems you might have.

But nothing comes for free, you need to work for it and there is no way you’ll have true time-freedom right away.

It takes work to build up a thriving business – you need to learn skills and you need to take action. All the time.

If you aren’t prepared to do that then you won’t succeed. I’m sorry.

But it doesn’t have to be work 24-7 and no fun, you are doing this because you want to create a future for yourself and your family. You shouldn’t work so much that you never meet them.

You should do things you want BUT you might have to do some sacrifices. Maybe you can skip the TV for a couple of months or Facebook-scrolling with no meaning?

We all have equal amounts of time during the day so I’m sure you can find time for everything you want and need to do.

How do you spend your time?

What do you spend your time on?

The key is to…,

Schedule your work-time

It doesn’t matter if you have 1 hour a week or 8 hours a day to work on your home-based business. You need to schedule that time and the tasks you need to do during your work-time.

If you have a lot of time – it’s easy to end up doing nothing because you think that you’ll always have time.

If you don’t have much time it’s easy to be overwhelmed and not know where to start when you are working.

So focus on the right things.

75 % of your work-time should be focused on Result-Driven Tasks – tasks that directly produces results and income

20 % on Preparation Tasks – tasks to prepare for the result-driven tasks
  • edit
5 % on Distraction Tasks – tasks that has nothing to do with your business but happens…

If you have very little time to work on your business you should eliminate the distraction tasks even more.

Don't forget to schedule in breaks as well. 😉 I set a timer and then I go up and walk around a bit so I don't sit for to long at a time.

Don’t work all the time

You are allowed to have free-time even if you are building your business. You need to find a balance between your business and your personal life. YES you will have to work more in the beginning but how much is all up to you.

Maybe it is worth it to have more time with your family and put off the big earnings a couple of months or even years.

Decide when work-time is and when free-time is and stick to that. If you kill yourself working around the clock you will sooner or later lose your excitement and maybe even quit.

Unless your only goal is to be financially free ASAP you should have a balance that’s good for you and your family.

Are you stuck procrastinating

There can be a lot of reasons for this

  • question
Do you love what you do? Is the way you are doing business or the thing you are selling really your passion?
  • question
Are your goals big enough? It’s so important that they are – it will be so much easier to do what might be uncomfortable if you see where it will take you.
  • question
Are the tasks you are procrastinating really important or maybe they aren’t the right way?

Find your “problem” and fix it. Be so determined to reach your goal that you won’t procrastinate. When you have decided to do something DO it!

And remember if it feels hard to do it is probably just your comfort zone and nothing will grow without you going outside it and do what’s hard.

But the number one thing is: Are your business your passion?

If you have any doubt or if you don’t know if you are on the right path find someone to talk to, a person that you trust have your best interest at heart.

A person that might be able to see things that you aren’t seeing.

Having a hard time focusing?

I strongly recommend that you shut everything off when you are performing a task, shut of your phone, your Facebook and mail tabs. You actually don’t need to check that every five minutes.

If you have a lot of time working on your business it’s easy to think that you have all the time in the world, to do whatever your task for the day is later, if you get distracted by something on Facebook or a phone-call. Trust me I know!

That is why you should plan your time and shut everything off. Prepare for the tasks you want to accomplish and set aside time for them.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with all the things you have to do?

Good! That means that you are learning, that you are moving forward.

If everything was easy and you just did it and then it was over then you won’t grow your business or yourself.

Always learn new things BUT take action with everything new you learn.

Don’t get stuck in learning-mode – just watching training after training and never do anything about it..

If you don’t know what to do next figure it out, take advice and ask.

BUT don’t expect anyone to tell you what to do.

You are an entrepreneur – if you want to be told what to do all the time, find a job. Then you are stuck in the employee-mentality and until you change your mindset and think like an entrepreneur you’ll have a hard time seeing results
