Have you heard the term sales funnel before? Ever wondered what it is?
Let me clarify that for you!
An example of an offline sales funnel can be your local grocery store.
They have spread out the usual things like bread,milk and meat throughout the store just so you have to pass all the other stuff on the way and maybe get hooked.
And at the checkout you have all the things you don’t need like snacks and candy.
An online sales funnel is a little bit different, but the idea is the same.
And it is what you need to build a business online using attraction marketing. No matter what that business is. Network Marketing, Affiliate marketing or your own products and services etc.
An example is:
Can you see how that resembles a funnel? First the ad or post is shown to a lot of people. The ones clicking on it are falling into your funnel. Wider at the top.
The ones going ahead and giving you their e-mail are qualifying themselves even more by that action and are showing you they are interested in what you are doing.
If they also buy from the thank you page or the first e-mail you have them hooked right away and you can make higher ticket offers to them.
You are hooking the people that might be interested with your ad and then you are providing them value and education trough out the steps until they buy something or drop out of your funnel.
And hopefully even into people that recommend you to others.
At point three you know they are interested – they give you some information in exchange for what you are offering for free.
By providing them with value you warm them up and make them like you and trust you. If they aren’t happy with what you give them they can opt out of your funnel at any time. (Unsubscribe to your e-mails)
They can buy as early as point 4 but also weeks, months or years later. (I have a woman on my list that opted in from an ad in November 2016 and she didn’t buy anything until recently more than 18 months later…)
The good thing with this kind of funnel is that people are different and they can buy in their own pace.
AND you can talk to multiple people at once! You don’t have to speak to hundreds of people one on one. You don’t have to speak to anyone until they become a customer (unless you want to) and in some cases not even then…
But to build your reputation I recommend speaking to people of course. That will give you more success and faster.
You just keep providing value until they buy! In any way you can.
And when they buy you keep giving them value to make them a recurring customer – that buys from you again and again.
When they are a recurring customer they will like you so much that they might refer others to you!
And you have a business.
